Our judges are run through an extremely tough gauntlet of tests and are thoroughly qualified to judge the closest of calls in our competitions.    We need 18 judges and 3 more experienced table captains for each category.

A judges meeting will be held in the judges tent promptly at 10:00 am on Sunday September 19th – attendance is MANDATORY.  If you are late we will fill your seat so please be on time. Pork Butt, Brisket, Chicken, Anything But and Ribs -There will be a short break between the categories but you will need to be available on site from 10:00am – 4:30pm.

Judges that don’t arrive in time to attend the judges meeting will unfortunately not be able to participate.
